The Allegany County commissioners Thursday approved a five year lease amendment with General Services Administration for the Federal Emergency Management Agency's logistics center. The new deal extends the contract into February of 2027. The FEMA operation has been housed at the former PPG plant at Mexico Farms at the North Branch Industrial Park since 2004- storing disaster necessities such as water, food and generators, as well as a fleet of mobile homes for the east coast.
