On Thursday, January 21st, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Fairview Avenue residence for the report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke with a male victim that alleged that Michelle Lynn Ralston had thrown a cup of hot soup on him during an argument. Officers did observe an injury to the victim that appeared to a burn. Ralston was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault and taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bond review. She was released on her own personal recognizance pending trial.
