The first monthly Discover Downtown Cumberland 2nd Saturdays celebration will be held April 14 throughout the Historic City Center. April’s celebration will be Love the Local, with a variety of musical and street performances downtown from 3 to 9 p.m., with a featured performance by local band Butterscotch Blonde on the Liberty Street stage from 6 to 9 p.m. Retailers, galleries and other shopping venues are being encouraged to have extended shopping hours for the April 14 launch of the year-round monthly celebration.
