Gansler Embroiled In More Controversy

October 25th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

To say his gubernatorial campaign has gotten off to a rocky start would be an understatement. For the second time in a week, Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler finds himself embroiled in controversy. Ganslers, who is running for governor, is defending himself after a photo surfaced of him stopping by a party over the summer where underage drinking was happening so he could talk to his son, and he did nothing to stop it. A photo captured on Instagram shows the attorney general going through a crowd of young people at a rental home in Bethany Beach, Del. The Baltimore Sun reported some of the party's participants confirmed that many of the underage kids who were there were drinking alcohol. Gansler told reporters that he had stopped by the house in June on his way back to his beach home from an Ocean City work dinner to briefly talk to his 19-year-old son, who was DJ'ing the party. He said he knew exactly where his son was at the party, went straight to him, told him what time they were leaving the next morning and then went home. Gansler said his son wasn't drinking alcohol and that he didn't remember seeing any teens doing so, but in hindsight, he said he probably should have investigated further…
