Local Business Agrees To Longer Sell Synthetic Drugs As Part Of Settlement

Last week it was announced that the owners of Puff & Stuff stores in Cumberland and LaVale, agreed to forfeit $173,988.61, to settle claims that they sold synthetic drugs at their stores. Part of the settlement is that the business will no longer sell those items. It appears to be another victory for local law enforcement in the war against businesses selling drug-related paraphernalia, and synthetic drugs. The synthetic drugs are often labeled as different brands, but they are commonly referred to as “spice.” Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson has been part of a strong local effort to get the word out about the dangers of using such products- and he feels the P.R. campaign is proving effective…
