President Barack Obama declared an end to the Iraq war on Friday, one of the longest conflicts in U.S. history. Obama announced that troops would be withdrawn from the country by end of the year. The withdrawal by the year 2011 was part of a deal between the two countries when George W. Bush was president. Obama had declared the end of the combat portion of the mission earlier this year.
