On Thursday night at 9:00pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to the first block of Pennsylvania Ave in reference to an assault. Arriving Officers located two victims with serious injuries to the facial areas. It was learned that two unknown subjects entered the victims residence and began assaulting the subjects inside the residence possibly with a blunt object. The two victims were transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment on non life threatening injuries by Cumberland Fire Department personnel. A technician with the Maryland State Police Crime Lab and members of C3I responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
