All three high schools in Allegany County have been recognized as Project Lead The Way Distinguished schools. The three are among a select group to be recognized for their commitment to inspire and engage students in the PLTW Biomedical Science Program. The program introduces students to medicine and human body systems as well as biomedical science careers. The school system has 340 students enrolled throughout the county.
