The Salvation Army of Cumberland is still looking for sponsors in their annual Angel Tree program for Christmas. According to Angel Tree Coordinator Karen Wells, over 600 children need adopted for the holidays and over 100 are still in need of sponsors. Wells wants sponsors to enjoy their Christmas Angel shopping..
“Provide 2-3 outfits per child and then 2-3 toy items or wish list items for that child. There is no right or wrong way to do it. I just ask that people have fun doing it.”
To become a sponsor, Wells says to contact her through the Salvation Army Cumberland Facebook page or email her at Karen.wells@uss.salvationarmy.org.
“My goal is to have all of them adopted before Thanksgiving. That gives people a bit of a chance to do some good shopping because we do need everything back by December 3rd.”
