Governor Wes Moore has said that he wants the redistricting commission he has assembled to make the best decisions for Maryland voters. Several hearings have been held for input on the matter, but House Minority Leader Jason Buckel believes that Moore is definitely in favor of a re-do mid-cycle for congressional districts…

“Governor Moore very much wants to do redistricting. Notice I did not say the Maryland General Assembly, or Senator Ferguson, or many people in the House. Governor Moore very much wants to do redistricting for political reasons because mid-cycle redistricting has become a political football, a political litmus test for both parties.”
