As precipitation moves in from the west, temperatures are hovering near or several degrees below freezing. Precipitation is expected to be very light and spotty, but may be in the form or either brief sleet or spotty light freezing rain and sprinkles through midday. Temperatures should rise above freezing areawide by noon, but until then motorists should be mindfulf of patchy slick spots especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
