The timing of the Choose Cumberland relocation package hurt some hopefuls in their attempts to move to the area as many applicants lost remote work as an option.  As a result, there are still openings for the package that offers up to $20,000 to relocate to Cumberland.  Ruth Davis-Rogers, who oversees the program for the city, said they have applications for the remaining positions. “All applicants – they have to bring their job with them or they have to be in the process of accepting a job here. They can’t already be in contract with a home or already have moved here. And they have to buy a home and show that they’re approved to buy a home by a bank within six months.”
