The Allegany County Commissioners have finalized the long-awaited takeover of the George’s Creek Ambulance Service.  County Administrator Jason Bennett told the commissioners the Memorandum of Understanding gives the county control of the failed volunteer station…

   

“What that will do is allow the County to takeover possession of the building, three ambulances there—one of which is a newer ambulance—two life packs and all other assets that are within the building.  We will then end up staffing that with paid county EMS staff.”
