On July 13th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served a fugitive from justice warrant on Anthony Clayton Talbert. Talbert was placed under arrest when it was learned that he had an active arrest warrant from Mineral County, WV. The original West Virginia warrant charges Talbert with Malicious or unlawful assault. He was taken before a District Court commissioner where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond, and is awaiting extradition.
