Kara Kenell and Eowyn Hansrote both received special awards at the recent Maryland Association of Student Councils convention in Ocean City.  Ms. Kennell is the Service Learning Coordinator for the Allegany County Public Schools. She received the Karen Crawford Regional Advisor of the Year award that recognizes support given to student councils. Eowyn Hansrote, a senior at Mountain Ridge, is currently the student representative to the County Board of Education. She was recognized as the Outstanding Student Leader for her commitment to improving their school or community.
