A domestic incident involving two elderly Hampshire County residents ended in a house fire, claiming one life. Sheriff Deputies received a call that a woman was being held at gunpoint on Levels Drive. After talking several hours with the armed man, the woman was able to escape unharmed. Deputies continued talking to the man who would not surrender. When deputies attempted to enter the home, they found it full of smoke. Firefighters entered the home and found the 91-year old man deceased.
