The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland will meet in public session beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Conference Room of City Hall on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 for the purpose of immediately closing the meeting to: (A)  discuss pending litigation with CSX and potential litigation pertaining to a dispute over the amounts owed for utilities from a particular customer as permitted by Section 3-305(b)(8) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland; (B) receive legal advice from the City Solicitor relative to the availability of a particular tax credit and potential revisions to code enforcement provisions in the City Code, as permitted by Section 3-305 (b)(7); and (C) to receive legal advice from the City Solicitor with regard to the West side bridges also as permitted by Section 3-305(b)(7) of the said General Provisions Article.

The Open Work Session will then begin at 5:15 p.m. in the 2nd floor Conference Room.

The Mayor and City Council's regularly scheduled Public Meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Council Chambers.
