Maryland’s sports wagering outlets had the fifth-best single month performance in May of 2025. Sports bettors wagered $504.4 million dollars in May and won back $438.1 million in prizes. Operators paid 15% of their taxable proceeds to the state which amounted to $7.7 million for May. That money goes toward the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund which supports education programs. For May, mobile users were the wagering winner with $494 million placed while retail outlets did $102 million in bets.
