Maryland drivers are facing increased tire fees in 2026 for their vehicles.  New fees voted on in last year’s General Assembly will add about $24 to the cost of a set of new tires. A recycling fee of $1 per tire, up from 80 cents and a $5.00 new tire fee. The money generated from the fees, once administrative costs are deducted, will go to the Used Tire Cleanup and Recycling Fund and to the Transportation Trust Fund.
