On Saturday, March 25th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police responded to an establishment in the 10 block of Thomas St for the report of an assault. Upon arrival on scene, officers observed 2 subjects involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot of the business. As officers made contact with the subjects, a male subject continued to yell and be disruptive, causing further public disturbance. The investigation revealed that the male subject had created a disturbance with the victim inside the business and the two went to the parking lot. The incident escalated and the suspect was observed assaulting the victim, shoving them to the ground, causing signs of visible injury. As a result, Todd Alan Trainum, 31, of Keyser WV, was placed under arrest. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on a $1500 unsecured bond.

Charges: Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey.
