In the past two months the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce has taken public positions on a wide range of issues including Marcellus shale; efforts to repeal the coal tax credit; and the future of the Footer Dye Works building in Cumberland. Last week alone the Chamber issued four position papers on the coal tax repeal; hydraulic fracturing; wages; and earned sick leave and the safe leave act.
