Help from residents living in the city limits of Cumberland is needed to complete an inventory of all private water service lines connected to the public water system. The US Environmental Protection Agency is requiring action that all water utilities must determine where lead pipes exist in their systems by the end of 2024. Bobby Smith, Director of Engineering and Utilities for Cumberland, is encouraging residents to fill in the survey on the city website…
So far, Smith says the survey has not been utilized as much as hoped for but the project is moving ahead…
