CPD Makes Arrests & Serves Bench Warrants

At approximately 1944 hours, officers were investigating a check on well being the area of the 300 block of Bedford Street. Officers located a female in the area, in the course of their investigation the female provided the officers with a false name. The officers were able to identify the female as Tiffany Joseph Busch. It was determined that Busch had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Washington County, MD. Busch was taken into custody and during a search incident to arrest officers located a small amount of suspected heroin on her person. Busch was transport to Police Headquarters for processing. She was later transported to the District Court Commissioner where she was held on a $7,500.00 bond. The Washington County, MD warrant was logged as a detainer as the warrant has to be served in Washington County.

Charges: Obstructing & Hindering, False Statement, and Possession of CDS not marijuana

At approximately 2259 hours, officers responded to a Hanover Street residence for a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with several people inside the residence. Officers spoke with Karen Ann Fields who was yelling and screaming at both officers and others inside the residence. Officers attempted several times to calm Fields but she refused to lower her voice and keep the peace. Fields was asked what would happen when officers cleared and she said that she was going to continue to yell and scream. Fields was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to Police Headquarters for processing. Fields was later released from custody pending trial in District Court.
