Bruce L. Snyder, 79, of LaVale, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.

In 1968, Snyder began his own home remodeling business that became Snyder's Home Improvement Center located in Sears Town Shopping Center. Over the years, the business progressed from kitchen and bath installations to selling hardware and paint, unfinished furniture, wallpaper, carpets, CB radios, stereos, and gifts. .In 1980, Bruce and family opened the Western Sizzlin' Steak House. In 1996, Bruce decided to expand his restaurant business and opened a Kenny Rogers Roasters. It later became Texas Grill House, which is still in operation today.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, Md., (www.AdamsFamilyFuneraIHome.com) on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Frankie Revell officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
