Cumberland Police Make Domestic Assault Arrests & Issues Disorderly Citation

On 11/23/17 at 12:17pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 800blk of Bedford St for a report of an assault. Officers learned that a verbal argument turned physical resulting in the victim receiving minor injuries that did not require medical attention. As a result Officers placed 57 year old Jeaneine Clay under arrest. Clay was transported to Police Headquarters where she was processed and charged with one count of second degree assault. Clay was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was released on her personal recognizance pending trial.

 

Disorderly

 

On 11/23/17 at 10:19pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to Queen City Pavement for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival officers contacted several staff members who advised that a subject came into the establishment intoxicated which is against their policy. When confronted the subject began to become aggressive and yelling disrupting the operations of the facility. As a result officers placed 35 year old Eastern Day of Cumberland under arrest and transported him to Police Headquarters where he was processed and issued a Maryland Criminal Citation for Disorderly Conduct and released pending trial in District Court.
