On Thursday, April 27th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police arrested Samantha Jean Glotfelty, 50, of Cumberland MD. Glotfelty was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on April 25th, 2023. During that incident, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Fairview Ave for the report of an assault. Investigating officers determined that Glotfelty had assaulted a male subject inside the home after engaging in a verbal altercation with them. During the altercation, it is alleged that Glotfelty threatened the victim with a loaded shotgun. She was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond
