Heritage Area Input Needed Wednesday

Plans to expand the Passages of the Western Potomac Heritage Area will be discussed at a county-wide community conversation this Wednesday at the Allegany Museum starting at 6:30pm.  Formerly the Canal Place Heritage Area, the new name reflects the expansion of the area’s boundaries.  DeDe Ritchie, Executive Director for the Canal Place Authority, says public input is encouraged for the future of the heritage area and is crucial in determining programs and grant funding.  She also noted other groups that will be in attendance for the meeting including tourism and local government representatives…
