Several high school principals addressed the Allegany County Board of Education at Tuesday’s work session asking for some clarification on the issue of whether graduating students can alter or decorate their caps and gowns during graduation ceremonies. Currently there is no existing policy in place on the board of education level, with individual high schools handling those matters. With the issue becoming more and more of a point of debate in recent years- the board will now turn the matter over to its policy committee. Although Superintendent David Cox has no vote on the issue, he does have a definite opinion….
