The detainment of an Iowa School Superintendent by ICE has Maryland connections. Ian Andre Roberts, a native of Guyana, overstayed a student visa by 20 years and shows as a registered driver and voter in Maryland.  Maryland’s Freedom Caucus points to gaping holes in immigration and elections enforcement.  Delegate Matt Morgan, caucus chair, told WBFF-TV that the state board of elections’ hesitancy to provide voter rolls to the Department of Justice raises more questions…

  

“Why wouldn’t you want to turn over the voter rolls for that? How is immigration enforcement using our voter rolls? I mean obviously that means that there are multiple people who are registered to vote.”
