Just about 11 months since it was announced prematurely that a new contract had been signed between Allegany County and DelFest representatives- a contract signing ceremony is taking place later this morning to officially finalize the deal. The Allegany County Commissioners approved the contract last week, and today the DelFest management team- headed by bluegrass legend Del McCoury himself- will be on hand at Allegany College of Maryland to sign off on the agreement which will keep the festival at the county fairgrounds through at least 2022. Del’s son Rob admitted to WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” that once the contract talks got bogged down in politics- there were some anxious moments…
