District 1C Delegate Mike McKay today filed for re-election in Legislative District 1C.

McKay tells WCBC that while he had an early interest in the Register of Wills position, once longtime friend Mary Beth Pirolozzi was selected to fill the vacancy, he was committed to work for her re-election, and after a discussion with his family, opted to seek a second term in his current seat.

Prior to his 2014 election as delegate, McKay had served as an Allegany County Commissioner.
