Matt Miller, Executive Director for the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation, updated the Mayor and City Council this week about work on the land the city purchased along Messick Road adjacent to Route 51.  The plot is about a half-mile from the new Fed-Ex terminal and the city is hoping to develop the land for similar use for distribution or warehousing.  Miller said an engineering company from Oakland is working on preliminary site plans…

Once those site plans are complete, movement on grading the land and creating access to the Messick Road site can begin…
