On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, The Cumberland City Police responded to the 900 block of Michigan Ave for a 911 hang up call. During an initial 911 call, a male subject had advised there had been a fight in the home and medical assistance was needed. Once on scene, officers contacted a male subject who became uncooperative and argumentative with police. The subject refused to cooperate with officers and would not let officers check for an injured person. As a result, Garrett Michael Ketterman, 33, was placed under arrest for obstructing and hindering. After Ketterman was placed under arrest, a subject was located inside the home who had suffered from a medical emergency. The Cumberland Fire Department then responded to assist the subject. Ketterman was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on a $2500 unsecured bond.
