Rocky Gap Casino Resort to Participate in Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive

Flintstone, Md. – Nov. 18, 2022 – Rocky Gap Casino Resort, located at 16701 Lakeview Road NE, will collect toys for local children through the annual Toys for Tots drive, a holiday gift collection program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to benefit less fortunate youth.    Rocky Gap will collect new and unused toys for children in the community from Thursday, Dec. 1 to Tuesday, Dec. 20 and the toys will be picked up on or before Friday, Dec. 23. Attorney General Frosh Reaches Settlement with Washington Commanders Agrees to Return Security Deposits to Consumers Paying $250,000 Penalty

BALTIMORE, MD (November 18, 2022) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh today announced that his Consumer Protection Division reached a settlement with Pro-Football, Inc., trading as the Washington Commanders, concerning the team’s security deposit practices. The Washington Commanders (formerly the Washington Redskins) collected security deposits from season ticket holders and other purchasers of tickets for seats in luxury suites. Under its contracts with ticketholders, the team was required to return the deposits within 30 days after their contracts for seat licenses expired or were terminated. CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED

On November 17th, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Jaunice Clark. The summons was issued as result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on October 29, 2022. The officer conducted an investigation and found Clark to have been operating on a suspended license. The officer later filed charges on Clark at District Court. Clark signed for her copy of the summons and was released pending trial at District Court.
