A quick hitting snow and ice storm has caused major traffic issues for local motorists. Westbound Alternate 40 is said to be shutdown due to a number of acciddnts in the Clarysville area. We've been airing reports from listeners that indicate Interstate 68 east of Cumberland, on Martin's Mountain and Polish Mountain, are stop and slow go in both directions. On Sunday, April, 17, 2022, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Mechanic Street. The operator was identified as Matthew Twyman. It was discovered that Twyman had an active arrest warrant out of Hampshire County, WV for fraud. Twyman was arrested and a fugitive warrant was completed to be used as a detainer. On Sunday, April 17, 2022, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on James Eugene Feagin. The warrant was issued as a result of Feagin failing to appear for his court case at the District Court of Allegany County. Feagin was originally charged with multiple fraud offenses. He was arrested and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for his initial hearing. Feagin was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond.
