McKay Would Like to See MD Natl Guard Assist at Border
Delegate Mike McKay, concerned with what he see occurring at the southern U.S. border, tells WCBC News he would like to see Maryland send some assistance. The U.S. has seen a 500% increase in the number of illegal immigrant crossings with a record-setting 213,534 crossings reported in July alone. Pfizer Booster Shots Available Thursday and Friday
The Allegany County Health Department will offer booster shots of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at clinics on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the gymnasium of Allegany College of Maryland. In order to obtain a booster shot, individuals must have received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine between January and March and fit one of the following classifications: Age 65 or older. Capital Gazzette Shooter sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole
WBAL reports the man who plead guilty to killing five people in the Capital Gazette newsroom in Annapolis has been sentenced to five counts of life in prison without the possibility of parole, life in prison, 125 years in prison and 220 years in prison, all of them to run consecutively. The sentencing hearing ended after 12 survivors, victims and family members addressed the court with victim impact testimony. Police Serve Arrest Warrants
On September 27th, 2021 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served two Arrest Warrants on Mark Anthony Coleman. The Arrest Warrants were issued by the District and Circuit Court. While officers placed Coleman into custody, he struck the officer and attempted to escape. Coleman continued to struggle with officers, and attempted to destroy a bag of a controlled dangerous substance.
