Cumberland Police Make Gun, FTA Arrests

On Saturday, at approximately 1:30 PM, an officer from the Cumberland City Police Department observed a vehicle speeding on I-68 Eastbound. The officer initiated a traffic stop for the violation and the vehicle stopped in the 400 block of Maryland Avenue. The officer made contact with the operator Milton Emmanuel Pagan-Caquias. He advised the officer he was in possession of a loaded handgun.  Pagan-Caquias did not possess a Maryland firearm wear and carry permit. The officer confiscated the firearm and placed Pagan-Caquias under arrest without issue. Pagan-Caquias was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance. Many types of electronic respiratory lab results are submitted to DHHR’s Bureau for Public Health on a regular basis. Governor Larry Hogan Friday toured the site of the future Novavax headquarters in Gaithersburg and celebrated the unveiling of plans for the new campus. On Friday the Cumberland City Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Randy Alexander Serafin. Mr. Serafin was wanted for failing to appear in District Court from a previous assault charge. Gov. Hogan says schools should be ’100% open and every kid should be back in school’
