On March 13, 2022, at approximately 1306 Hours, deputies were dispatched to Sheetz located in Lavale Maryland for a report of a red vehicle with Arkansas registration almost striking several vehicles in the parking lot. When the first deputy arrived on scene, he observed a male seated in the driver’s seat of a red colored sedan bearing Arkansas registration. The deputy exited his patrol vehicle and made contact with the operator who initially provided deputies with a false name to avoid apprehension.Subsequently a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, located in the vehicle were multiple bags of methamphetamine….
Three people were taken to UPMC Western Maryland, one by Trooper 5. Maryland State Police is investigating. The Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Henry Ernest Simms III, age 52, of Cumberland, MD. The warrant charged Simms with Violation of Probation. His original charge was for Second Degree Assault. Simms was taken to Central Booking for his initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
