Maryland Governor Larry Hogan issued an official proclamation on Sept. 20 in recognition of Allegany College of Maryland’s six decades of growth and its many “positive contributions to the western Maryland region and beyond” since its founding as Allegany Community College in 1961. On Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Jessica Lynn Friend. The warrant was issued by District Court for fraud and theft scheme charges. The warrant ordered Friend to be brought before the court for an initial appearance.
