MD Department Of Health Retains Accreditation
The Maryland Department of Health has successfully retained its accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board. The Department first received accreditation in 2017. The PHAB is an independent non-profit that manages a national voluntary program to improve the quality and performance of public health departments.
Frankfort Wins State Title in Football
The Frankfort Falcons scored on their first two plays from scrimmage Friday night and never looked back as they defeated Roane County, 49-14, in the AA title game in Charleston broadcast by Classic Hits 107. Julian Pattison scored five touchdowns as Frankfort jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The Falcons scored on their first 7 possessions. Roane County gained yardage between the 20 yard lines but turnovers and clutch defense by the Falcons stymied the Raiders. The title is the first in Frankfort history as Coach Kevin Whiteman led the team to a 14-0 record.

Local Author Has New Collection of Short Stories
Local author John Ketzner is back with a new collection of short stories. The book called “Where’s That Bastard Owen and Other Yarns” is available locally and on Amazon. Ketzner said he started writing by using prompts from the Maryland Writers Association. He shared thoughts on one of his favorite stories from the book… “Charmin and Billy, which is a play on F.
