On Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, an officer with the Cumberland Police Department observed a male subject on a motorized scooter fail to stop for a stop sign in the area of Park St. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the subject, the subject refused to comply and fled the area, driving onto sidewalks and narrow alleys not accessible to the police vehicle. Arrest Warrants Served

On Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Garry Lee Legeer III, 28, of Cumberland MD, and Xavier Zhane Barger, 21, of Ellerslie MD. Both men were arrested on an active Arrest Warrants issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on July 4th. During that incident, the Cumberland Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Mary St for the report of an assault. Once on scene, officers contacted multiple witnesses and a male victim. Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack Press Release

ON 7/9/24 at approximately 1651 hours Troopers from the Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack responded to New Germany Road, south of Twin Churches Road, Grantsville, Garrett County, Maryland, for a motor vehicle collision.  Upon arrival Troopers discovered a Toyota Tacoma pickup off of the northbound side of the roadway, into a wooded area.  Also at the scene was a Freightliner  utility truck parked in a gravel area, off the travel portion of the roadway.  The driver of the Toyota truck, James Thomas Shillingburg III of Ridgely, WV was entrapped and subsequently pronounced deceased by paramedics of the Northern Garrett Rescue…

Frederick County Crash Claims Life Of Ridgeley Man

Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred this morning in Frederick County. Shortly after 7:35 a.m., Troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack responded to Raven Rock Road (Maryland Route 491) for a report of a crash involving a tractor-trailer. The driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, identified as Daniel Edward Ryan, 41, of Ridgeley, West Virginia, was declared deceased at the scene by Frederick County emergency medical service personnel. Maryland State Police Seek Suspect In Wicomico County Murder

Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred last month in Wicomico County. An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, Fernando Medina-Moreta, 27, of Seaford, Delaware. He is wanted in connection to the murder of Franklin Abraham Perez Rodriguez, 23, of Miami, Florida.
