Resources for Independence, a local center assisting individuals with disabilities to live independently, celebrated 30 years of service to Garrett, Allegany, and Washington Counties.  Both the City of Cumberland and Allegany County recognized the center’s years of service last week.  Lori Magruder, Executive Director of Resources for Independence, says those with disabilities hold a significant number in communities nationwide…

“Our services and our advocacy work is so important because while you may not know, individuals with disabilities makes up the largest minority group in our country, one of which anyone can become a part of at any given time.”
