On Thursday, June 1, 2023 at approximately 9:17 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Baltimore Street for a disturbance. When officers arrived, they contacted the resident who reported that a male subject was inside and he was not allowed to be there. Police contacted the male subject who provided officers with a false name. The subject was later identified as Shawn Gladden. Officers learned that Gladden was in violation of his pre-trial release conditions. When officers went to place Gladden under arrest, he resisted and refused to cooperate with officers. Gladden began yelling at officers and creating a disturbance. Gladden was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking where he is currently being held pending his appearance before the court.
