On Friday, July 28th, 2023, The Cumberland Police arrested Javis Chayton Bohrer, 22, of Cumberland MD. Bohrer was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on July 25th. The warrant alleges Bohrer violated pre-trial release conditions that stemmed from a charge of accessory after the fact-1st degree murder. Bohrer was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
