The 41st annual Mountain Maryland PACE reception is set for Thursday evening at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. PACE is designed to offer free-flowing interaction by Allegany and Garrett countians with state and federal government officials and staff members. Strategic new projects and current key legislative topics for the two counties can be discussed in an informal networking environment. While there is no official theme for this year’s reception, some of the talking points include job creation and utilizing the region’s natural resources. PACE co-chair Robert Smith says what started out as a small reception with a few local business and community leaders involved has grown into a major two day event which serves as one of the premier receptions during the General Assembly Session in Annapolis…
