The posting period to receive applications for the position of Interim Superintendent of Allegany County Public Schools closed on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
Six applications for the position were received. The Board of Education is in currently in the process of vetting and verifying the qualifications of those candidates that applied for the position.
On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, school board members will meet in Executive Session to discuss the applicants and the interview process.
The Board anticipates that interviews will occur over the next several weeks and that an Interim Superintendent will be in place before July 31, 2019.
