April 18th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

One person was flown from the scene of an ATV crash near Flintstone Saturday afternoon, according to emergency service officials.
“The Joint Communications Center took a report of an ATV crash in the area of 17101 Williams Road,” Lt. Todd Bowman, public information officer for the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services said. “The single rider on the ATV was located by first responders several hundred feet off the main road in a wooded area.”
Crews on the scene used a fire department ATV to move the patient from the scene to the awaiting ambulance, Bowman said.
Maryland State Police Aviation was requested at dispatch, based off the information our Communications Center received, Bowman said.
Emergency units from Flintstone, District 16, ambulances from Flintstone and Bowman’s Addition and an Allegany County Department of Emergency Services Supervisor responded to the 4:39 p.m. incident.
“The male patient was reported in critical condition on the scene and transported by MSP Aviation to UPMC-Western Maryland,” Bowman said. “No other injuries were reported.”

Allegany County Joint Communications Center has dispatched police, fire and EMS to Williams Road for a Four Wheeler accident.

Trooper Five is also enroute.
