On Thursday, February 6th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department arrested Sandra Diane Rust for possession of crack cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. Rust admitted to ownership of the crack cocaine and paraphernalia when a vehicle that she was a passenger in with two other individuals was observed by an officer who knew the area had several complaints of CDS transactions. A Cumberland police K-9 officer assisted and positive alert resulted in the CDS being recovered. Rust was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await a bond review before the District Court Commissioner. She was held on a $2,000 bond.
