City Contemplating Relocation Of Antique Attractions At Constitution Park

The city of Cumberland has been contemplating relocating some of the antique attractions at Constitution Park since the spring time, in anticipation of building a skateboard plaza- and one of those may be close to finding a new home. The park for years has been home to attractions including a caboose, Army tank, fire engine and an airplane. The caboose was subject of some discussion during Tuesday’s meeting of the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority. Executive Director Dee Dee Ritchie reported that she has been talking with city officials about the idea of locating the caboose at Canal Place for a number of reasons, including some commercial opportunities. Although the talks are in the preliminary stages, plans call for the caboose to be located near the Crabby Pig restaurant- with the owner there having already floated the idea of using it for the business according to Ritchie…
