Constitution Park Day Camp Readies For Season

The 2020 City of Cumberland Parks & Recreation Department
Constitution Park Day Camp is proposed to open on Monday June 29 and
continue six weeks through August 7. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic,
pre-registration is required and will be awarded on a first come, first serve
basis. There is a limit to the number of campers permitted, as there will
be a maximum of nine campers for one camp counselor.
Camp registration will be held on Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday,
June 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again on Thursday, June 25 from 3 to
6 p.m. at the Constitution Park Day Camp House. Additional weekly
registration will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
or 4 to 4:30 p.m. throughout the duration of camp.

Campers enrolled must be residents of the State of Maryland and must
be within the ages of 7 to 12 years old, with 7-year-olds having already
completed first grade. All campers and counselors will have their
temperatures checked and logged daily. It is recommended that all
campers wear facial coverings, however it is required for all campers over
the age of 9 and all staff members.

The staff of the Constitution Park Summer Day Camp is working
diligently to provide a safe environment by employing State and County
health guidelines and practices. More updates and information will be
provided to families at the time of Camp registration. For related
